What is authentic Lucknow Chikankari?
Authentic Lucknow Chikankari is hand-embroidered needlework traditionally done in Lucknow, using characteristic stitches such as bakhiya (shadow work), phanda, murri, and jaali. Machine-printed “Chikankari look” fabric is not the same. At SamiRooh we focus on hand-finished embroidery and transparent product descriptions so you know what you are buying.
How can I tell original Chikankari from a duplicate?
Check the reverse side for knot tails and slight irregularity, feel the thread elevation on florals, look for layered stitch types (not one flat repeat), and compare price to labour — genuine hand work cannot cost the same as mass-printed fabric. Do you ship across India?

How long does delivery take?
Most orders are dispatched within 2–4 business days after confirmation. Metro cities often receive parcels in 4–7 business days after dispatch; other regions may take 7–12 business days. You will receive tracking details by email or SMS when your order ships.
What is your return or exchange policy?
If you receive a defective or wrong item, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and your order number. Because many pieces are handcrafted and hygiene-sensitive, we handle returns case-by-case for quality issues. Custom or altered garments may not be eligible — we will always explain options clearly before you buy.
How do I choose the right size for kurtis and kurta sets?
Use the size chart on each product page and measure bust, waist, and length against your favourite well-fitting garment. Chikankari kurtis often have a relaxed ethnic fit — if you are between sizes and prefer a snug fit, consider sizing down; for layering, size up. How should I care for Chikankari embroidery?

Can I track my order?
Once dispatched, you will receive a tracking link when the courier scans your parcel. If tracking is delayed beyond 24 hours after the “shipped” update, email us with your order number and we will follow up with the carrier.
